About Us
Our Vision: To facilitate computer science, technology and engineering research.

Millions of electronic devices are disposed of every year, toxic components are shipped to third world countries at an alarming rate. A large portion of these electronic devices are discarded by individuals, corporations, and government agencies, simply because of planned obsolescence. Product life cycles are intentionally short for commercial profit, however their impact on waste is significant.

Our Mission: To find new uses for technology.

Many scientific and mathematical research projects require the use of massively parallel distributive computing, most cannot afford their own systems. They rely on volunteer computing as a major resource for both short and long term projects. The National Upcycled Computing Collective, Inc. (NUCC) intends to re-purpose electronic devices responsibly. Our primary project aims to utilize a mixture of salvaged and new computing components in order to contribute as much processing power to these computing projects as possible. The best way to recycle computers is to continue using them. Powering these systems with renewable energy both promotes responsible operation and encourages investments within the renewable energy sector.

Our Slogan: We upcycle technology in a meaningful way!
